A beautifully designed family villa stunningly decorated and elegently furnished.
This immaculate residence enjoys stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and mountains from the top of the picturesque village of Giraudel. Wonderful state-of-the-art concertinaed sliding glass doors run the entire length of the expansive ground floor balcony, where views may be enjoyed day or night. This allows for a huge entertainment area easily accessible from the modern fully equipped kitchen and the indoor living/dining areas.
From the balcony you can enjoy the cool breeze and access the substantial child-friendly landscaped and beautifully manicured gardens.
Upstairs there are 4 large double bedrooms, 2 benefit from ensuite luxury bathrooms and fantastic sea views. The other 2 bedrooms share
a family bathroom complete with a bathtub. The size and layout will suit family or friends on vacation or can easily accommodate two sets of couples plus children. The house is furnished to the highest standard, and is complete with a garage/carport, premium cable TV/DVD, alarm system and WiFi.

Deep Sea Fishing
Dominica waters are home to some great sport fish including the Blue Marlin, Dorado, Tuna, Mahi Mahi and Wahoo.

Snorkeling
Champagne is a unique snorkeling location teeming with tropical fish, so named as hot bubbles filter out of vents just like a glass of champagne! You will often spot parrot fish, squid and beautiful coral and sponges.

Scuba Diving
Whether your an experienced diver or wanting to try it for the first time diving in Dominica will blow your mind. With superb sites in the South, around Scotts Head Marine reserve there are excellent knowledgeable dive operators waiting to be your guide, you will often spot a turtle or two.

Whale Watching
Dominica enjoys whales and dolphins all year round, their are daily tours to see Humpback and Sperm Whales and you will usually meet some dolphin pods along the way.
Hiking
With the most pristine tropical rainforests in the Caribbean, Dominica has become easier to explore, thanks to the Waitukubuli National Trail Project. Encompassing 114 miles of trail spanning and twisting the length of Dominica. From Scotts Head in the south, right up to Capuchin in the north, the trail winds from one end of Dominica to the other. Along the way it will take you through coastal villages, up woodland hills, into lush rainforest, past waterfalls, down to rivers, back up to the mountains and then down again.

Boiling Lake
The second largest boiling lake in the world is a good three hour hike each way do take a guide and schedule the following day as a beach day!
Waterfalls
Trafalgar being the most well known but Victoria being a family favourite zig zag across the river a river to an impressive fall, where you can swim in the pool.
Beaches
The majority of Dominica's beaches are made up of dark gray or jet black volcanic sands, they are often deserted.
Looking to chill then Mero beach on the west coast or Purple Turtle in the North are recommended.
Directions
Dominica has two airports Melville Hall, is the larger of the two and is approximately 90 minute drive from Villa Oleander. Canefield is best suited for a private charter from Antigua or Barbados and only a 20 minute drive
The two main Caribbean airlines LIAT and American Eagle have hubs in the region with daily flights connecting to Melville Hall from Antigua, San Juan, St. Lucia, St Martin, Tortola and Barbados.
From Europe you can take a daily flight with British Airways or Virgin Atlantic to Barbados, Antigua or St Lucia and connect the same day to Dominica with Liat.
From North America the most popular route is to use American Airlines to Puerto Rico and connect with the American Eagle flight
The neighbouring French islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe are also convenient hubs for flights from Europe and you can connect via plane or there is a ferry service operating on a regular basis to Dominica.

Car Rentals
There are a number of car rental agencies on the island offering vehicles for rent. But before you get on the road, you will need to obtain a driver's license which cost $30 (US$12). You must be between 25 and 65 years old, with two years' driving experience to qualify for a driver's permit. Traffic use the left side of the road, most of which are well maintained.

Dominica officially called the Commonwealth of Dominica is the largest and most mountainous of the the Windward Islands. Situated in the Eastern Caribbean between the two French speaking islands of Guadeloupe to the north and Martinique to the south and is almost 745 square kilometers with a population of approximately 70,000 people.
This English speaking country is also referred to as the Nature Isle due to its tropical rainforest, 365 rivers, many waterfalls and the world 2nd Largest Boiling Lake.
The currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar however US dollar is also widely accepted.Office/Shop and banking hours are generally 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
Shops close at 1pm on a Saturday.
